Description

Fully funded 3-day training opportunity for young leaders aged 16–25

Are you passionate about making a difference in your community?

Join Young K&C for an exciting Level 1 Certificate in Exploring Youth Work — a dynamic, fully funded course designed to introduce you to the world of youth work and community leadership.

Over three days of learning, you’ll:

  • Discover what youth work is really about — from communication and teamwork to creating safe, inclusive spaces for young people.
  • Build confidence, leadership, and practical skills you can use in real community settings.
  • Learn through fun, interactive sessions — no exams, just engaging group work, creative projects, and supportive discussions.
  • Gain a nationally recognised qualification that can open doors to paid or voluntary youth work, further training, or apprenticeships.

The qualifcation will run on 28, 29 and 31 October. 10am - 5pm, with a one hour lunch break at 1pm. You must attend all 3 days to qualify.

Lunch will be provided.

You’ll be supported every step of the way by experienced youth work trainers and the Young K&C team, with an additional support day on 30 October.

Whether you’re curious about a career in youth and community work, or simply want to grow your skills and confidence, this is the perfect first step. You must be:

  • Aged 16-25
  • Currently engaged with a Young K&C member or Morley College

No previous experience needed — just enthusiasm and a passion for helping others.
