🍽️ Gain Hands-On Experience in a Professional Kitchen!

Bangkok Kitchen is offering an 8-week work experience placement as a Kitchen/General Assistant at their restaurant in Newport.

What you'll do:

• Prepare and cook dishes following recipes and presentation standards.

• Follow food hygiene, allergen, health and safety procedures.

• Keep kitchen, equipment and storage areas clean and organised.

• Label and store food correctly, rotate stock and help minimise waste.

• Complete kitchen checks and cleaning records.

• Report equipment issues, stock shortages and food safety concerns.

• Maintain professional hygiene and uniform standards.

• Complete food hygiene and kitchen training provided.

Who can apply?

✅ Aged 18+
✅ Not currently on contracted provision
✅ No previous experience required - full training will be provided

We're looking for people who have:

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

• Good teamwork and communication skills.

• Reliability, punctuality and flexibility.

• The ability to work in a busy environment.

• The right to work in the UK.

📅 Duration: 8 weeks
🕒 Preferred availability: Saturday evenings (due to the nature of the role)
📍 Location: Bangkok Kitchen, 22 High Street, Newport, NP20 1FX
👥 Delivery: Face-to-face
