Description

Session 1 – Understanding and Shaping Section 106 - Online Session

Overview:

This session will provide an introduction to Section 106 (S106) planning obligations — what they are, how they operate, and how community input can help shape spending priorities.

Agenda:

  • Overview of Section 106 – Understanding the S106 and CIL (Community Infrastructure Levy) tests, and where we are to date.
  • Community Influence – Example of how community dialogue has already helped shape S106 spending decisions.
  • Future Opportunities – Presentation of the Top 5 unallocated S106 funds available for future community benefit.

Outcome:

Participants will gain a clear understanding of how S106 funds work and learn about current opportunities for involvement in shaping spending decisions — setting the stage for a deeper discussion in Session 2.
