Our five-week course will allow you to gain confidence and skills to purchase the ingredients needed to create meals and snacks that are affordable, healthy and enjoyable.

During the course, we will cover:

  • The importance of healthy eating
  • Basic cookery skills
  • Food hygiene
  • Food storage
  • The importance of a store cupboard
  • How to budget
  • How to meal plan

All equipment and ingredients are provided and carers are more than welcome to attend with you.

Everyone who completes the course will receive a spice kit, recipe book and £20 voucher for a supermarket of your choice.

All are welcome to book on, although priority will be given to participants living and/or working in the following areas: West Kingsdown, Fawkham, Swanley, New Ash Green, Hextable, Eynsford, Farningham, Crockenhill, Hartley, Dartford and Gravesham.
