This Level 1 Safeguarding training provides an introduction to safeguarding children and your responsibilities when working with children and young people.

Date: Tuesday 21st April 2026

Time: 10:30am – 1:00pm

Location: Osmani Centre, 58 Underwood Rd, London E1 5AW.

Delivered by Rajna Choudhury (Interfaith coordinator) and Victoria Burton (Tower Hamlets Safeguarding team).

By the end of the session, participants will:

• Understand what safeguarding children is

• Understand their role and responsibilities

• Be able to recognise signs of abuse, harm and neglect

• Understand what appropriate action should be taken

• Be able to identify relevant information in order to make a referral

• Understand the importance of information sharing and multi-agency working

• Be able to inform the necessary individual or organisation of a safeguarding incident
