Description

We’re looking for volunteers to help us understand how to engage more people with

Sustainable Wantage. In July, we held two successful kick-off workshops and designed three

small research projects with the help of some volunteers.

This training workshop is for:

Volunteers who are interested in the Refill Store at The Mix.

The current plan is to gather ideas from visitors at The Mix about how the Refill Store could

be redesigned to make it clearer and more accessible for new visitors.

And

Volunteers who are interested in Clothes Swaps.

For this we'll be looking at ways to reach out local young people, to find out how they might like to get involved with our twice-yearly clothes swaps.

The workshop will include some short training on the relevant research methods (surveys

and interviews) with time included to plan volunteer roles and next steps.

Jo (Sustainable Wantage) and Parky and Liz (University of Nottingham) will be on hand to

guide you through all the training needed and to answer any questions you might have.

If you’re interested, please do come along, even if you’re not sure yet how you could be

involved. We’d love to talk with you and there are opportunities for everyone to get involved.

If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to get in touch with Jo

(josustainablewantage@gmail.com) or Parky from the University of Nottingham

(stephen.parkinson@nottingham.ac.uk).
