Description

NEPACS is a charity which aims to promote a positive future for people who have been affected by adverse situations in their lives, they work with families, young people and children, as well as those affected by the criminal justice or care systems.


This training is a bespoke session for South Tyneside VCSE


The Volunteers with Criminal Justice Experience Training aims that by the end of this session you should be able to;


Recognise – the value of hiring people with lived experience of the CJS.

 

Understand – the DBS system and how to use it responsibly.

 

Approach – criminal conviction disclosures with confidence and empathy.

 

Identify – inclusive recruitment and selection practices.

 

Consider – proportionate risk assessments, management and safeguarding.

 

Reflect – on personal and organisational policies and practices.   


This training is limited to 20 spaces only -

You must be a VCSE organisation to attend.

This training is fully funded, so we ask each designated person booking onto this course to be dedicated to attending and engaging. If possible, we do ask for 48 hours’ notice if anyone needs to cancel. If a cancellation is going to occur, please can we ask you send someone else from your organisation in your space.
