As part of London Rivers Week 2026, join Thames blogger Patricia Stoughton for a leisurely, free guided walk along a step-free section of the Thames Path. The walk follows the Albert Embankment from Lambeth Bridge to Vauxhall Bridge and highlights some of the route’s most notable features, including the giant prow of a ship, the Art Deco Lambeth Fire Brigade HQ, a new island below the MI6 building, and the surprisingly little-known sculptures on Vauxhall Bridge.
Distance: Less than a mile.
Start time: 11am. Meet at the Riverside Cafe. Lambeth Pier, Albert Embankment, London SE1 7SG
Timing: About an hour and a quarter, plus time for a coffee or a drink in the Riverside Pub the upstream side of Vauxhall Bridge at the end, if wanted.
Bring: Water, if hot, a camera and binoculars
All U18s must be accompanied by an adult.
