'Resilience in Action' workshops are all about discussing the basic and free steps individuals and households can take to become more resilient to potential emergencies and disruptions. Workshops are conversational, interactive, and informal, with a particular focus on the local and the personal. We discuss a range of scenarios and subjects, ranging from flood alerts and warnings, power outages, disruptive weather, to practical tools like building a 'grab bag' and completing a household emergency plan.
By the end of the session, you will have a better understand of how to keep yourself and your household more resilient and better prepared for 'emergencies'. Take-home messages are designed to be simple and understood by a wide audience, and can be passed on to friends, family, and anyone you are working with.
