Start Your Journey Into Employment! (for 18-25 year olds)
Are you ready to take your first step into the world of work? This inspiring one-year supported internship programme is delivered through a unique partnership between Project SEARCH, Ysbyty Wrexham Maelor, and Coleg Cambria. The programme is designed to help you successfully bridge the gap between college and meaningful employment.
You will develop the real-world skills that employers value most while gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment. Students spend four days each week working within departments at the hospital, alongside one day studying at the Yale/Wrexham campus to build knowledge, confidence, and workplace skills.
During the programme you will:
· Gain valuable work experience across different hospital departments.
· Build confidence and independence in a real workplace setting.
· Develop the professional skills employers look for.
· Receive ongoing support from a dedicated Job Coach who will guide you throughout the programme.
To enrol on this programme, applicants must have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) or an Independent Development Plan (IDP).
