Suitable for: Families - activities aimed at children 6+.
Come and have fun bringing your landmarks from local area to life.
Does your family have a street corner, bench, or lamppost with a special memory? What about a blocked drain where a fun puddle forms when it rains? Or that tree where somebody’s balloon got stuck? These are personal landmarks, based on memories and experiences shared with our families and friends.
This is a creative workshop looking at the spaces around us. We will explore personal and established landmarks, starting with a short walk around Holborn House sketching what we see around us. Once back inside we will turn our 2D landmarks into 3D models.
This session is suitable for families with children aged 6 and over, younger siblings welcome, but please note activities are not targeted at this age. No previous experience of sketching or model making is required, this is something we will learn together.
This session is run by team from The Building Centre alongside staff from HCA
