Come and join us for a practical wetland maintenance session in Memorial Park!
We'll be removing excess reeds and learning about how to manage wetland vegetation to keep this important habitat healthy. It's a great chance to get hands-on with conservation while discovering more about your local environment.
We'll be providing all the equipment you'll need, including waders - please let us know your shoe size when you sign up so we can make sure we've got the right gear for you. Wear sturdy shoes and clothes you don't mind getting a bit muddy, as we'll be working in and around the wetlands.
If you have any mobility requirements but would still like to take part, we can arrange alternative tasks - just email lula.wattam@thames21.org.uk to let us know how we can help. Everyone is welcome, whether you're a seasoned conservation volunteer or completely new to this kind of work.
We'll be starting at 11am and finishing around 1pm, depending on how much we get done. Come along and help us look after this special part of Memorial Park!
Come along, get stuck in, and help make a difference for your local environment!
