Welcome to the sign ups for Pet Club! Our 6-week course covers all you need to know about small pet diets, safe handling, health checks, and what foods to grow to feed your pet. The sessions are open to young people aged 8-16 years, of all abilities and animaly backgrounds! Please only sign up for Saturday/Sunday/Thursday to ensure everyone gets a chance to join us! We cannot wait for you all to have guinea pig cuddles and snuggles, sheep walks, and bunny grooming!

Term runs from 10 January 2026 to 27 March 2026, 9:30 - 12:00. Our Young Farmers programme has been an integral part of the farm, ever since we were founded over fifty years ago. Hundreds of young people have volunteered on the farm, with many going on to become vets, veterinary nurses, farmers, and more! Young Farmers is open to anyone aged 8 years – 16 years.The programme is free to attend.Sessions run on Saturday and Sunday mornings, 9:30 – 11:30.We take bookings for a term, following school term dates. Young farmers learn many skills, including all aspects of animal care – from mucking out and feeding, to proper handling skills and health checks. Everyone is expected to get involved, and we’re outside in all kinds of weather, so be prepared to work hard, get mucky, and have an amazing time! Regular, long-term attendees will also have the opportunity to take part in other activities, such as the annual London Harvest Festival, showing off their skills and our animals! Young Farmers is our most popular programme, with a huge waitlist. We provide this programme completely free of charge to support our young community members. As such, as of January 2026, we are introducing some very simple Ts &amp; Cs for attending. To secure a child's place, parents must agree to volunteer twice per term for the farm. This will either be two sessions on our Friends of the Farm stall (on the yard during Young Farmers sessions), or one stall session and one event session (May Day, Apple Day, Christmas Fair).Any child who is significantly late or misses sessions more than three times, will have their space cancelled and given to the next child on the waitlist. We are introducing these in order to help support the farm, and to ensure that empty places are not being held by children who are not committed to the programme, when we have such a long waitlist. Please note that if you want to volunteer for Duke of Edinburgh volunteering hours you need to contact the office on info@ktcityfarm.org.uk. It's time to book the next sessions of our midweek programme, Nature Nerds! We are so excited to bring our local Young People this opportunity to spend time at the farm. We know that KTCF is a safe and happy place for so many people, and research shows that being in and around nature and wildlife improves wellbeing. With that in mind, we are starting a series of 5-week sessions for Young People aged 8-16 who would benefit from this extra time on the farm. We will be using the entire farm, from our animals and gardens, to our local wildlife. Each group is for a maximum of 8 Young People only to ensure these wellbeing sessions are as effective as possible. Whether your Young Person is finding it hard with school, exam stress, has either long term or temporary issues affecting their wellbeing, or just needs a regular break on the farm each week, these sessions are for them. As this is a small and very new programme, we won't have any SEN support workers available, but if your child would benefit from attending you are welcome to bring their 1:1 support worker with. Please let the office know ahead of time. Summer 2026 term signups for Duke of Edinburgh! The term runs from 18 April 2026 to 4 June 2026. You can make up missed weeks after the term has ended with agreement from session leader Diane, but are not expected to miss more than two sessions in the term.
