We're also the ACRE Network member for North, South and West Yorkshire, providing advocacy for rural communities and parish councils. Our aim is to help you achieve your goals and better support your communities.

In response to the health and wellbeing theme of this year's Village Halls Week (March 16-22), we'll be at <a href="http://www.arkendale.org.uk/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" style="color: rgb(0, 102, 204);">Arkendale Community Hall</a> near Knaresborough on Thursday 19 March for a practical training session focused on CPR - the emergency lifesaving procedure. Join us from 12.30pm when we'll kick off with a light buffet lunch - a great opportunity to meet trustees from other halls and share ideas. Then from 1.30pm we'll be joined by Steve Smith from <a href="https://firstaidertraining.org.uk/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" style="color: rgb(0, 102, 204);">Firstaider Training</a>. Steve will guide participants through essential CPR techniques and how to respond to medical emergencies, offering a valuable opportunity to learn new skills or refresh existing ones. Open to anyone involved in running a community building, the session is suitable for all levels and delivered by highly experienced military and emergency first aid practitioners with over 15 years’ teaching experience.

It holds up to 100 people, depending on the event, and is extremely well equipped with wifi, presentation equipment, a super kitchen with a range of good quality appliances. Importantly, the hall is warm in winter. We are well placed, just minutes from the A1(M) junctions 47 or 48, and within easy reach of Knaresborough and Boroughbridge. Car parking is available.
