The Wollstonecraft Society

The Wollstonecraft Society is a dedicated charity aiming to inspire children and young people about their human rights through the life and legacy of Mary Wollstonecraft.

We offer creative workshops, projects and events in schools and to children and young people in the community.

Do you give permission for the Wollstonecraft Society to take photos/ videos/ voice recordings during the session? These images/ videos may be used for, but not exclusively, for future marketing and promotional materials, funding applications and  reports to funders.

Hello there! Thank you very much for the booking 'The Arty Travel Agent' session on Wednesday 13th August at 12.00pm -4.00pmpm. It will be a super creative session, with tons of imagination and lots of ideas. Please wear comfortable clothes that you are happy to use art materials in and bring a bottle of water for you to have at the session. Lunch will be provided for the group as part of this session. Bring to life your very own travel brochure...it could be about somewhere you have been, somewhere you would love to go or a place you invented. You could even show off the best bits of Bridlington. This session will be full of games to get to know each other, learning about the world and arts and crafts activities. This session is delivered for 5 - 12 year olds. Each participant will receive lunch.

This session is designed for children and their families to enjoy together.Children over 8 years old, can attend The Hut, unaccompanied however the Hut will need a registration form completing. A jam-packed day full of creative theatre, writing and arts related activities as part of the Withernsea Carnival at the Hut. Activities will celebrate the local area, children and young people's big ideas for the future, including activities about local legend Mary Wollstonecraft. This session will include a number of different activities aimed at children and young people between 5 - 16 years old. The sessions are designed for children and families to enjoy together. Participants who are booked onto this session will receive a cold lunch at this session.

The Hut

Lunch will be provided at the session for your child/ children. Please can you describe any allergies/ dietary requirements of your child/ ward.

Please confirm that you understand that as part of this activity we will be running a supervised treasure hunt around the building.

Please confirm that you are happy for your child/ children to be supervised on a short walk into Beverley during the session.

It is planned to be a brilliant session full of creative activities including, arts, crafts, writing - and a special Beverley Based Treasure Hunt. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a bottle of water for you to have at the session. Lunch will be provided for the group as part of this session. This session is aimed at 5- 11 years. Like Treasure Hunts? then come along and have some detective fun with this four hour session of arts, crafts, and drama activities. Delivered in partnership with East Riding Archives, you will also get the chance to learn some real fun facts about Beverley. This session will include a supervised treasure hunt around the building, and possible visit into Beverley. This session is aimed at children aged between 5 - 11 years. Lunch will be provided for participants. Lunch will be jacket potatoes, with a choice of two fillings, salad and fruit.

Mary Wollstonecraft lived in all different places throughout her life including Beverley. She even went on an adventure to find some stolen treasure.&nbsp; Come and join our hands-on arts and crafts activities that explore Mary Wollstonecraft's life and the 1700s through creative map-making and boat-building with recycled materials, and other exciting activities. Plus food for each participant. This activity is only for children who receive free school meals and attend school in the East Riding.

Welcome to&nbsp;Super Hero, Super You!This is your chance to create your very own superhero… what powers would you have? Who are the everyday heroes? How would you change the world? Using arts, drama and creative writing activities, bring your superhero to life and see what adventures they will go on. The day will include games to get to know each other, and be jam-packed.Every participant will receive lunch. Lunch will be jacket potato, with a choice of fillings salad and fruit.
