Action youth boxing intervention

Action Youth Boxing Intervention is a Camden based community organisation working with children and young people. Our programmes build confidence, self-esteem, self-worth and physical wellbeing through non-contact boxing and fitness training.

Our participants come from a number of different sources, this includes schools and Pupil Referral Units, direct referrals and from social services.

​

We formulate programmes based on cognitive behavioural therapy, rational behaviour therapy, social life skills, and motivation.

Fit &amp; Fed is our multi-activity club for ages 6-16, providing a wide range of free school holiday activities and a nutritious meal for participants.&nbsp;We've been running this project since 2017 and it has always been well attended as it ensures that young people are constructively engaged over the school holidays and have a guaranteed meal which helps to relieve some of the pressure on families who would usually rely on free school meals during term time.​The sporting activities we offer include non-contact boxing, football, hockey, basketball, and table tennis.&nbsp;We also provide additional enrichment activities such as drama, music, dance and arts &amp; crafts.
