Join us for an evening introducing you to Mountain Biking in Pollok Park. This is the perfect opportunity for those wanting to try MTBing. Led by a qualified and experienced mountain bike coach, you'll learn the basic skills and techniques needed to ride some simple trails in Pollok Park. You'll meet at the WoW hub and cycle to Pollok Park together, do some drills and skills, ride some basic trails and ride back to the Hub together Mountain Bikes and helmets will be provided. We're excited to launch our new Kids Learn to Cycle Lessons! These sessions are specially designed for&nbsp;girls and non-binary children aged 5 -12&nbsp;who want to learn to ride a bike or build their confidence cycling. Just like our supportive adult lessons, these classes are friendly, patient, and totally judgement-free. Our experienced instructors will guide them step-by-step in a safe, encouraging environment. Cycle Touring Event- Planning, Packing and Camping  

Join us for a 4 week cycling block to improve your cycling skills and confidence on a bike. This block is suitable for women and non binary people 16+ that can ride a bike but are a bit wobbly, low in confidence or wants to improve specific cycling skills. The block will be tailored towards individual needs and will be a fun, safe and supportive environment. Bikes and equipment will be provided or bring your own bike. This is a rough idea of what will be taught in the block; Week 1- Off road cycle skills in nearby park (Getting on and off the bike safely, signalling, turning, braking, gears and looking over your shoulder whilst cycling )Week 2- Cycling skills in practice- using quiet resendential streets we will practice gears, signalling, cycling with others and where to cycle on the roadsWeek 3- Cycling skills in practice- Using quiet roads we will progress previously learnt skills and look at rules of the road and how to cycle on very quiet roads/in low trafficWeek 4- Short led ride incorporating all skills learnt and talking about local Cycling infrastructure. A joyous ride campaigning for safer streets for kids - because safe streets for kids are safe streets for all! Apart from being a super colourful, fun and joyful event, why should you join Kidical Mass Glasgow? Well, we believe... 🏫 Every child should be able to cycle to school safely. Yet we lack adequate, well-connected cycling infrastructure to make this happen. 🌬 Every child deserves to breathe in clean air. Yet, 93% of Glasgow schools are in areas that violate WHO guidelines on safe air to breathe. Yikes! 🏙 Every child should be safe in our public spaces. Yet, do you feel comfortable letting your child or young person enjoy our public spaces independently? If you would also like to see our public spaces being designed to keep our kids safe, healthy and happy then join us for Kidical Mass Glasgow on 31st May 2026. We meet from 11.30am in Queens Park, Victoria Road entrance and the ride starts at 12pm. We will finish back in Queens Park at 1pm. After the ride (weather dependent) we can chill in th epark with picnic blankets and snacks and possibly entertainment! No food will be provided so we recommend you bring your own snacks/picnic or make use of the many fab cafes that are nearby. The route is roughly 3.5 kilometres and all bikes are welcome on the ride including balance bikes. The only exception is bikes with stabilisers. We recommend bringing the littlest kids along in bike seats, trailers or cargo bikes. Women on Wheels have bike seats, trailers and we can access a cargo bike available to loan. Please get in touch as soon as possible if you would like organise a loan. We will struggle to accommodate for any last minute loans. The&nbsp;intermediate&nbsp;bike maintenance course&nbsp;will be a 4 week&nbsp;course, led by Mhairi,&nbsp;covering how to strip and build a&nbsp;bike&nbsp;and will be a step up from the things you have already learnt at the basic&nbsp;bike maintenance&nbsp;sessions, but those skills will come in&nbsp;handy. You will be working on one of our bikes throughout the course.&nbsp; The course is&nbsp;at the&nbsp;WoW Hub and will be pay what you can £100-£150 for the whole course (all 4 sessions). You must be able to attend all 4 sessions. Payment for this course is taken 1 month before the course and Holly will be in touch to arrange payment at this time To take part in the&nbsp;course&nbsp;you must have attended or plan to attend most of our basic&nbsp;bike maintenance&nbsp;sessions (at least the Gears class!) or have knowledge that meets this level.&nbsp;If you are unsure then please contact us to talk through your experience level. Never been on a cycle tour before? Now is the perfect chance to try it in a fun and supportive environment. This tour is suitable for those who can cycle for a good few hours at a gentle pace and are looking to push themselves a bit further. Our tour goes from Glasgow to Edinburgh (65 miles over 2 days) staying overnight at Spoke and Boot Campsite (tents or pods available) at the end of Day 1.&nbsp; This tour is an overnight trip- Starting at 9am on Saturday 20th June and returning by 6pm on Sunday 21st June. We will be staying overnight in Spoke and Boot campsite in Falkirk (Pods and camping available, indoor toilets, shower and relaxing area with sofas and fire). All equipment can be loaned for the trip if needed and evening meal on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday provided. This price includes accommodation, train fare back from Edinburgh, food for 2 meals and 3 support staff to help with route guiding, mechanical issues and cooking and organising group meals. Each day you will cycle roughly 32 miles (Fairly flat). This will be at a gentle pace and no one will get left behind. Our Intermediate cycle tour covers roughly 30 miles a day and involves 2 days of cycling with an overnight stay in Callander. The route starts in Balloch (Train together from Glasgow to Balloch) and day 1 cycles through the beautiful Loch Lomond and Trossachs national park and over the famous Dukes Pass before arriving in Callander for a shared meal and comfy stay at Callander Hostel. Day 2 will involve a pedal past some of the trossachs lovely lochs before pedalling back to the Bridge of Allan and jumping on a train back to Glasgow. This tour is suitable for anyone who has experience cycling for longer duration and can manage hills and who is happy cycling on rural roads.
